Reir

For those of you who have been expecting me to put part of my book on here, the time has come. This is Chapter One: Part One of my unfunished novel, Reir.

Rain poured down from the skies in the small town of Scatle. They danced down the windows and anything else they could get their water hands on. Everyone was outside either closing up their houses or putting away their livestock for the night. All the while, a young boy was staring out of his window, wathing the farmers tend to their precious cattle. He had always dreamed of taking up the farm after his father died and his brother left on his own adventures.

The only source of light in the room was a few candles with their flames burning strong and waving around aimlessly. Other than that, the room was very dark and empty except for the boy, his bed, and his dresser with a few close items of his on top.

"Reir, come down!" a booming voice yelled. The boy, startled by this sudden call, leapt over his bed and walked down the stairs. On the stairway, more candles were lit, illuminating the boy's face. He had long, shaggy black hair that hid half of his face which was very broad. His eyes were very bright blue. A beard was starting to grow on his chin and his clothes were slight torn in some places. He had owned this outift for two years and had to wear it almost everyday due to the low amount of money his family made.

As Reir hit the last step on the staircase, he looked up at a picture of a very young looking lady, barely in her thirties. Her hair was blonde and she as well had bright blue eyes. In the picture, she was wearing a pink dress, much like the one Reir last saw her in. This triggered one of his worst memories.

Come back in a week for Reir Chapter One: Part Two!!!
