A few new pictures

Here's some more of my awesomeness!!!

Reir Chapter 1: part 2

The woman was with her son. They were enjoying a pleasant picnic together up on a hill. The surrounding trees provided them with shade, waving their long green branches in the breeze. The woman sat down on the picnic blanket cleaning up the remaining food while the boy chased butterflies in circles. The woman kept a close eye on him in case he ran off.

After she finished cleaning up, she looked up and the boy was gone. She searched frantically in the nearby bushes saying under her breath, "Reir, please don't die." He was nowhere near, so she ran off into the forest. Out of nowhere, a scream and a mighty roar came from her left. The woman darted in the same direction, not caring how many scratches she got from the forest's branches. Then, she stopped.

Her son was on top of a high branch and a bear was just starting to climb up to grab him. "Get away from him!" she yelled. She grabbed a think branch off the ground and smacked the bear accross the head. Even agrier now, the bear jumped down and rose on its hind legs towards the woman. It slashed its giant paw, nearly hitting the woman as she ducked. "Reir, run!" she yelled as loud as she could.

Hesitantly, the boy jumped down from the tree and started to run out of the forest. After a few steps, he looked back and saw his mother was pinned down, her face bloodied and bruised. "Go!" she screamed. "Don't look back! Get your father!"

The boy then ran as fast as he could. As he did, the bushes tore at his skin and branshes slapped his face. As he got out of the forest, his legs gave out and he rolled down the hill where they had their picnic. When he got to the bottom, he struggled to the door to his house.

He collapsed the moment he got inside. His father dropped the kitchen knife he was holding and rusehd to his son's side. "Reir, what happened? Where's your mother?" Reir only grunted in pain. His father, with tears streaming down his face, shook Reir and asked again loudly, "Where is your mother?" Reir barely raised his arm and said, "Forest...bear...she told me...to run..."

His father put Reir down on a chair and said, "Kaer, get my sword. Your mother is in danger." Reir's brother came out of the next room over with a sword and handed it to his father. His father walked to the door and when he was almost outside, he said, "Stay by your btoher's side and don't leave the house until I get back."

After that, they waited for hours for their father to get back. Kaer did as much as he could to heal Reir's wounds, but it did not do much. After the sun had fallen, their father came back holding their mother in his arms. Her limbs were limp and her head lolled to the side. Her entire body was coated in blood. Kaer stood up and asked, "Is she...dead?" Their father only lowered his head to hide his face and the tears that flowed like rivers down his face. "Get my shovel," he said. "Now."

Their father spent the whole night digging a hole for his wife and finally laid her down to rest when the sun rose. When he came inside, Reir noticed his hands had splinters everywhere. "Father..." His father cut him off with a raise of his hand and said, "You are never allowed in that forest gain. That goes for both of you. No questions asked."

"I miss her too, Reir," a voice said as a hand was placed on his shoulder. Reir stopped thinking about that memory and saw his father standing there with his hand on Reir's shoulder. "But we have to move on, just like you are about to. Sit down and I will show you something."

Come back next monday for part 3!!!

Rise Above This

I recently added the video for the song Rise Above This by the band Seether. It's one of my favorite, but most sad songs i know. It's about how the band was on tour a year ago and while staying in a hotel, the singer's brother jumped out of the window of the hotel room and killed himself. I thought i should add this video to help all of you people out there who are going through this now, or are about to. Suicide has a huge impact on your life, more than you may ever know. Trust me, I have a freind who is going through this and has had suicidal thoughts throught his teenage life. No one has loved him for that whole time. Yes, he has had girlfriends, but they all left him because of the way he acts. If you know anyone like this, help them by all means possible! Like it shows in the video, when the man jumps off the building, everyone in that picture he had fell too. This shows that suicide impacts lives of not only your loved ones, but the people around them as well. Also, the man came back up to the rooftop, and so did everyone else. Suicide can be overcome. Maybe that certain person just needs someone to love them and care for them. They have this gigantic hole in their lives that needs to be filled. See if you can fill it for them. You may just save the life of your loved one, or a best freind.

More to think about...

Today, I listened to the song Bring the Rain by Mercy Me. But, I didn't just listen to it, I LISTENED to it. It is now one of my favorite songs by MM because I can relate to it. In the chorous, they say, "And I know there will be days where this life brings me pain, but if that's what it takes to praise you, Jesus bring the rain." Jesus has brought the rain in my life and He's brought it down hard. I'm so caught up in so many things in life, sometimes I don't know where i find time to think! I have so many friends that are having the rain poured on them too. Some are having trouble in relationships, some have relatives with cancer, and others' lives are just train wrecks. But when it says, "But if that's what it takes to praise you, Jesus bring the rain.", I don't care how much of this rain he sends down on me! I will take it all and still be strong in my faith! I also became very close to God last night when i prayed for the first time in a while. And it wasn't one of those times where you're sitting in church just because the Pastor told you to, this was at my own free will, when i was completely alone in my bedroom, secluded from everything but God. I prayed that all of my friends would get through their hardships and make the right choices, and that anyone else who has the rain brought down on them can make it through the storm. Most of all, i prayed that He would calm the storm in my life that He has placed.
